To Our Local Community;  About our Chickens

Our chickens are fed organic feed and range freely on our property.  Our flock contains several different breeds of chickens and the eggs they produce are variously colored and sized. The Ameraucanas, often referred to as Easter Eggers, produce eggs that range in color from blue-green to olive and some shades in between. The Barred Rocks and the Australorps, lay brown eggs, the Brown Leghorns and the Minorcas,  Mediterranean breeds, lay white eggs, the Cochins, an Asiatic breed, lay light brown eggs. The Buff Orpingtons and our favorite pet Benazir, a Black Australorp lay brown eggs.

Fresh, Organic, Free-Range Eggs are available and a dozen will contain an assortment of the colors described above.

Eggs are sold at $4.00 per dozen to help defray feed costs. Eggs are kept in a cooler at the end of the driveway with a coffee can cash register next to them. Exact change, though not necessary, is appreciated.
